We’re excited to announce the release of Boxbase v1.9.0, which brings several new features and improvements to enhance your experience with our platform. This update focuses on the administration so, whether you are an owner, admin, or a coach, your experience just got bumped up a bit.

🎉 New Features

This release introduces a range of new features to extend Boxbase's capabilities.

💌 New Mail: Member Added To Class

Boxbase can now automatically notify members when they are added to a class by an administrative user (owner, admin, coach), streamlining communication with your members.

🧭 Role based Navigation & Team Invites

We already have roles available for your box. Depending on a user’s role — whether owner, admin, or coach — the navigation will be customized for a more intuitive experience.

We also expanded role options in team invites, allowing your team more fine-tuned access control.

🏋️ New Programming Concept

We’ve introduced a new way to manage and track workout programming, offering more flexibility and insights for coaches and athletes. This is also our first step for introducing scoring and keeping track of PRs which will be released soon.

🛠 Improvements & Fixes

This release also brings a series of enhancements aimed at improving overall usability:

• Better Date Formats in Emails: Emails related to class bookings now feature a more user-friendly date format, reducing any confusion.
• Dashboard Improvements: Empty states for widgets and improved wording for program details make the dashboard more insightful and easier to navigate.
• Performance increase: We were able to improve our performance in some database-heavy operations by about ~50% regarding some specific actions and views in Boxbase

In total, we’ve addressed 19 bugs for this release to ensure a smoother experience. From fixing a date-picker issue to resolving team overview filters, we’ve worked hard to squash bugs and stabilize the platform.

👀 Upcoming

Our next big release will mainly focus on automated payments with Stripe. We are very excited about this integration. This will also enable further features and introduce processes that Boxbase can assist you with or even completely do for you!
