We've worked with Swiss gyms since early on.
We work with owners across the DACH region, and closely with Swiss gyms in particular. We're based in Vorarlberg, a few minutes from the Swiss border, so following the Swiss market comes naturally.
We talk to everyone in a gym: owners, admins, coaches, members. Switzerland shares a lot with Austria and Germany, but things like bexio, Tarif 595 and how members expect to pay aren't solved by flipping a setting. So we build for the actual problem instead of patching around it.
Retyping the same numbers into bexio every month?
Most Swiss gyms run memberships in one system and accounting in bexio. At month end someone exports a list and types it into the other system by hand. Boxbase connects directly to bexio and keeps payments and invoices in sync both ways.
Invoices, both directions
Membership and kiosk payments arrive in bexio as proper invoices, and the status flows back. Mark one paid in bexio and Boxbase updates.
Your rules, per payment method
bexio can simply book the invoice so your Treuhänder has everything, or email it to the member as well. No bexio credentials are ever stored in Boxbase.
Writing insurance confirmations by hand, one member at a time?
“Chunnsch mer no d’Bestätigung für d’Krankenkasse mache?” You know the rest. Someone at the desk opens the template, fills in the same fields, saves it as a PDF, and does it again for the next member. From 2027 that template stops working.
Standardised from 1 January 2027
Self-made confirmations stop being accepted. Insurers require a Rückforderungsbeleg under Tarif 595 in the XML 5.0 format, produced by software.
Generated, not typed
Boxbase builds the receipt from the membership data you already have, with your ZSR and GLN, and issues it automatically at the start of the membership term. Electronic transmission to insurers stays voluntary, so the receipt your member receives is all Tarif 595 asks for.
Findable later, by both sides
Members can download theirs again at any time, and admins see every confirmation that went out. No searching the shared drive in January.
Tarif 595 changes the document, not your label. If you are certified with Qualitop, QualiCert, Fitness-Guide or EMfit, you stay certified and nothing about your certification changes.

Process payments the way you already do.
Some gyms sell six or twelve months upfront and collect by bank transfer. Some bill monthly. Most gym software picks one of those as the default and turns the other into a workaround.
Payment methods and frequency
Upfront, one-time and recurring memberships are all first-class. Bank transfers you can mark as paid in a click.
Stripe status and fees
For members who'd rather pay in the app, Stripe covers credit card, TWINT and more common payment methods.
Stripe processing fees apply for card and TWINT payments.
Swiss defaults, already set
Register a gym in Switzerland and prices run in CHF from the start. VAT rates are configured per membership and product, directly in Boxbase.
